A monthly diary of current postings and quick train of thought entries

December 2023

December 28th

Well, I owe you an apology.

It seems that for some technologically inexplicable reasons—read: virtually without question an operator error that unidentified operator does not wish to admit—the past two posts did not get posted.

Yup. I had the entries set up and saved. Journal notes for the dates and essays to accompany them. Somehow managed to not place on the live site.

That said, I will doublecheck the doublecheck of things today, and we should have everything moving in the right direction again.

More Cars projects on the way? Seems that might be the case. Love Pixar. Love the Cars world. So, overall, I’ll absolutely be interested.

The constant

December 21st

Amazing how the holidays and a bit of travel can completely adjust schedules and plans. (Not that I’ve been really great about sticking to the plans around the site any time of the year.)

New essay to share today. Should have some assorted stuff over the next week. And then… welcome to 2024.

My best wishes to all of you, and your loved ones, for the holidays. I hope these days find you happy and healthy, and that you are exactly where you want to be for any and all celebrations. Enjoy!

Look, up in the sky

December 14th

It’s Thursday… and we’ve got some material to share…

Rejoice! David Tennant and Michael Sheen are coming back for season three of Good Omens. When it arrives on Amazon Prime, it is expected to wrap up the story.

Seven hundred million dollars

December 7th

Revisiting something we tried out over the summer today, and this time we should be able to get it to stick… a weekly posting date. Beginning with this post we are going to have something new here just about every Thursday.

Make a visit to Backpackville part of your Thursday routine.

Here’s a new piece to kick things off…

Keepers of time

December 2nd

Tying together a few loose ends. Essay today, with more coming next week.

I name thee…

December 1st

As we shared a few days ago, some great things happening…

* A Parkside View for December will be out in the next few days (definitely by the 8th). If you are signed up and receiving it, THANK YOU, appreciate the support. Enjoy. If you aren’t signed up, let’s get that sorted out. Send along an email and we’ll work with you to get it moving.

* Speaking of A Parkside View, the next collection—A Parkside View: Volumes 7 & 8—has a release date target of mid to late February.

* Continuing with the tangents, and building on book publishing news, Bob’s first work of fiction—yup, a novel—is being assembled with a March released window in sight.

* We are going to restart the effort to have a regular, weekly posting day. While material could be added at any time, the idea is that on one day each week something will be added to the site. The start will be Thursday, December 7th. And, we will attempt to have something every Thursday from that point on.

Iman Vellani interviewed about The Marvels and Ms. Marvel. All of it is great stuff, but the final thought discussing Samuel L. Jackson eating cake is… well… I would absolutely love to share a few minutes with him while we eat some cake.

More coming over the weekend.
